Golden Midnight Red Moscow

This male combines the golden (called Bronze in the U.S. and Tiger in Asia), Midnight, Moscow, and Full Red genes. It is one of those strains that looks better in the tank then on the web. It is one of the phenotypes  from the F2 generation of a cross between a Midnight Black Moscow and Full Red female. I have him in with a glass belly Pingu. Should be some interesting males in the second generation of the new cross.

I also purchased from Darryl(full reds),I thought you might be interested in an observation on 5 of the female young from one adult female mated to her brother produced blue dorsel fins. In 6 or 8 weeks they turned red. I am now running 3 lines of these fish.Do your males and or females have yellow at the base of the puduncle area? Gary

I have noticed a little of blue metal color in the young of this strain. And yes I have seen yellow at the base. A big surprise was an albino male with white metal body color. Only a single male. And he appears to be infertile. I think this strain might have some strange genetics....can't quite put my finger on it. I have it another cross, so we will see...
